Voting in the YEA

You can vote in a number of ways:

  • on paper
  • during school assemblies.

This means that every young person will have the best chance of voting. We have had 25,000 young people take part in the YEA Elections so far.

We're hoping even more young people vote this year, making the YEA the true voice of young people in Essex.

As well as the elections, we also run a survey that asks young people what issues they face. This is unique and we don’t think that any other organisation gets the true picture of issues facing young people like we do. Even if you decide not to stand as a candidate please try and get as many people as you can to vote.

Talk to your teachers and persuade them to register your school as a polling station.

Remember: the YEA members are chosen by young people to give young people a voice.

"A great experience that helps you not only to improve as a person but also to improve the Essex youth." Amy, age 14
